Why Matra Chaya?
“Today, children are lost in their mobile phones, while cows wander on the streets. Matra Chaya Gurukulam is a commitment to protecting two mothers: the first, Gau Mata (the sacred cow), and the second, Indian culture.”
We asked ourselves a simple yet piercing question: What purpose does opening a cowshed serve if children do not understand the importance of cows?
Unless children learn to respect, nourish, and care for cows from an early age, any cowshed will remain empty of its true spiritual and ecological purpose. When a child gently brushes a mother cow, serves her fresh grass, and witnesses the gift of her A2 milk and Panchagavya, they awaken deep reverence for all living beings.
That is why we have brought the Gurukul and the Gaushala together under one loving shade.
Our Goals (हमारे पावन लक्ष्य)
Protection of 100 indigenous cows
Providing full medical care, green grazing pastures, and non-commercial ethical protection to Gir, Sahiwal, and Tharparkar cows.
Education of 500 Gurukul students
100% free traditional Vedic learning, modern sciences, English, computer literacy, boarding, and satvik nutrition for deserving youth.
Our Inspiration: Holy Bithoor Dham
“Bithoor is not merely a town panchayat. It is the land of Peshwa Nana Sahib and the site of Valmiki Ashram. According to tradition, this is where Luv and Kush received their education.”
We are making a humble yet determined effort to revive that very tradition. Matra Chaya Gurukulam is a small initiative to preserve and bring Bithoor's rich cultural heritage back to life.
Maharishi Valmiki Ashram
The holy hermitage where the eternal epic Ramayana was composed, and where princes Luv and Kush mastered the Vedas, archery, and royal statecraft.
Peshwa Nana Sahib
The heroic land of the 1857 Indian Independence struggle. Where Nana Sahib, Tatya Tope, and Rani Laxmibai ignited the flaming spirit of Swaraj and self-reliance.
Brahmavart Ghat & Maa Ganga
Regarded in sacred Puranas as the navel of world creation, where Lord Brahma performed his cosmic penance along the pure flowing currents of Mother Ganga.
Meet Our Beloved Gau Mata
Every cow in our Gaushala is recognized by her name, honored with Vedic respect, fed seasonal green fodder, and cared for until natural passing without commercial exploitation.

Nandini is the pride of Matra Chaya Gaushala. Known for her majestic convex forehead and long, pendulous leaf-like ears, she possesses an extraordinarily calm and affectionate nature. Her milk is naturally enriched with Swarna-Kshara and high beta-casein A2 proteins.
